The Ignition Module is an integral part of the vehicle ignition system. The ignition module provides switching of the ignition coil at the correct time and for the correct duration; this is achieved through a signal from a pickup coil, Hall Effect or optical sensor or the ECU.
The ignition module also limits current to the ignition coil to prevent overheating and loss of performance caused by excessive temperature.
The ignition module must be compatible with the vehicle ignition system; the Tridon ignition module range has been carefully researched and engineered to suit each specific application.
